Dennis lives and works in the Emerald City (Seattle). He caught the college Ultimate bug as a freshman at UC Santa Cruz (go Banana Slugs!), joining a team that went on to win the College National Championship. Dennis has been fortunate to be part of exciting teams like Double Happiness, Jam, Sockeye, Throwback, and GTB; while picking up two more National Championship’s and some World Championship medals. Dennis has coached at the college level (UCSC) and in the Women’s Division (Riot). The highlight of his 25 year ultimate career would be playing with his younger brother Danny on Matza Balls and Jewbilation!
Dennis has been at Microsoft for north of 14 years, in roles ranging from product management to program manager to business management to customer experience – focusing squarely on how to deliver the best possibly experience to current and future customers, regardless of the Microsoft product or service they use. In parallel, Dennis has been an active MBA alumni volunteer with the Foster School of Business (University of Washington), ranging from mentoring first year MBA’s to consulting on Special Olympics and Boy’s and Girls Club fundraising as a board member of Challenge for Charity.
Finally, and most importantly, Dennis partners with his lovely wife Jennifer to be the best parent he can be to two Frisbee throwing boys (Dashel and Jakob). His dream is that the boys grow up to not only be kind, wise, and compassionate, but that they experience playing Ultimate in Israel, as he did on the original Matza Balls trip in 2005.
