In 2009, Karym was introduced to Frisbee at Ultimate Peace’s first event in Tel Aviv. From 2007-2011, Karym studied and received his Bachelors of Arts in Informal Education at Beit Berl College in Kfar Saba. Karym’s extensive background in playing and coaching soccer was a natural fit for Ultimate. His work experience includes coaching many kids and young adults in Soccer, which he continues today. He also worked for five years as an Activities Director for Noar HaOved in Tel Aviv – bridging communication and building relationships with Israeli Arab and Jewish middle and high school students.
Karym’s extensive experience with Arab and Jewish relations naturally led him to UP’s commitment to building relationships with Palestinian kids in addition to Israeli Arab and Jewish kids. However, it was the 5 values of UP that convinced Karym to join us in 2011 as a Community Coach and now he is a permanent member of our staff.
Karym was born and lives with his family in Ein Rafa, a small arab village on the way to Jerusalem where he hikes and rides the trails with his horses. Karym loves to meet new people, go camping with friends and travel to new places.
